These “ingredients” of the Natural Science organic fertilizer then undergo a process of sterilization and transformed into a palletized form for easy application. In this way, the Natural Science organic fertilizer remains the superior choice in slow-releasing, non-harmful, water insoluble natural fertilizer.

Chemically produced nitrogen in synthetic fertilizers may cause over application thus leading to harmful nitrate deposits in drinking water. The Natural Science organic fertilizer provides you with a safe source of all-natural nitrogen and other nutrients that are beneficial for plants.

Natural Science organic fertilizer will provide all the essential nutrients that plants need in order to grow and stay healthy and integrate these into any season-based fertilizer program. The high nitrogen content in Natural Science organic fertilizer is made use of once it is released through soil microbial activity.

The most amazing thing about Natural Science organic fertilizer is that nitrogen is released into the soil about the same time that plant growth occurs. Natural Science organic fertilizers start discharging its high nitrogen content in 2-3 weeks after application. This action of the Natural Science organic fertilizer allows nitrogen to be used freely by plants all throughout the growing season, thus giving the plants maximum usage of the nitrogen they are receiving.

Organic matter is the lifeblood of any fertile soil because it allows the soil to have better water retention and nutrient holding capacity. Porosity of soil makes it more water absorbent, thus ensuring that plants don’t die from water shortage. And the soil’s ability to hold nutrients can very well mean the difference between a scraggly, sickly looking plant and a lush, green shrub.

Natural Science organic fertilizer raises the organic matter content levels of the soil, thus aid in its conditioning. Also, with its capability to raise the content levels of organic matter, Natural Science organic fertilizer is the ideal choice for sandy and loose soils. Nitrogen and other nutrients in these types of soil are quickly drained because of the looseness of the soil granules. But by using Natural Science organic fertilizer, that is no longer a problem to worry abut.

A lot of farmers are discouraged from using phosphorous-rich fertilizers, especially if their gardens are located on properties near lakes and streams. Phosphorous has been known to leak into these vital water sources and to cause increased aquatic weed growth, resulting in unsightly algae blooms. But because Natural Science organic fertilizer contains zero phosphorous this need not be an issue for you. Natural Science organic fertilizer is what you need if you live near rivers and lakes.

Related posts:

Science Fair Project Experiments

Natural Resveratrol – Can You Get Enough of Science’s Only Real Fountain of Youth from Diet Alone?

What Is Natural Health Science?

Science Fair Project Experiments

Science

Amp

Compost Pile

Fertilizer

Fertilizers

Hypothesis

Manure

Plants

Soil

Test Options

Variables

By: Wesley SkilesOne of the key ingredients to most Science Fair Projects is the experiment. The experiment is what tests your hypothesis. Your goal will be to create an experiment that allows you to test different variable on the same situation. It would be difficult to explain this process without an example, so we will create an experiment to use throughout the entire article. Our experiment will involve testing plant grow with various fertilizers.

The first thing that we must establish is that a control is necessary. A control is simply one subject (plant in our case) that will not be exposed to any variables. Let say that we want to compare plant growth using these fertilizers: Brand A, Brand B, soil from a compost pile, and soil with manure. We have one variable, the fertilizer, and four test options. The control will be a fifth plant that has no fertilizer added to the soil. The control will give us an idea of the plant growth without the applied variable to compare to. For example, if three of our four plants do very poorly and our variable does not, then it is likely that it was the variable applied to those three samples that caused the poor growth. However, if we have the same situation and the control also does poorly, then there is a greater possibility that there was something else (other than the variable) that caused the poor growth. Examples might include a bad batch of plants from the start or that the plants became contaminated before or during the experiment.

Another factor that will guarantee better results is multiplying your test subjects. In the experiment listed above, we will have five plants (four variables & one control). If you created multiple sets, let’s say three, of the five plants, then we will gain better results. With multiple sets, we will be more likely to rule out if one subject did worse because it was a weaker or younger plant than the others. If the ‘Brand A’ subject grows the best in all three sets, then it will solidify the results that it truly is the better option. If one does well and the other two do not, then it is likely that the ‘Brand A’ was not the determining factor for the growth in the good one. This technique will also provide as a backup in case of contamination or error. If you have only one set and it gets ruined (gets knocked over by pet, sibling, etc) then you will have to start all over, and that’s even if you are able to due to project deadlines. If you have multiple sets, one can be thrown out without scrapping the project.

The key in every experiment is to set it up so that only one variable is changed among the subjects and that all other remain the same for each. In our example of testing fertilizer, we want to make sure that the type of soil, the amount of sunlight, the amount of water and the temperature are all the same very every subject. Not doing so could throw off your results by having multiple variable affecting the growth of the plants. Then you would not know which variable was the cause of growth (or lack of).

As your experiment progresses, you will want to keep accurate records. In our example for plant growth with fertilizers, you will want to check the plant height, width, color and other features on a regular basis. It would be best to use the same measuring tool each time, measure on a regular schedule (everyday, every other day, etc) and measure at the same time every time. Measuring at different times throughout the day may give incorrect readings because of how much sun light is getting to plant. Remember that the key is to make sure that everything is as similar as possible with all subjects except for the one variable that you want to change, the one you are testing.

Related posts:

Simple Kids Science Fair Project Idea

The Natural Science of Organic Fertilizer

The Concept of Science Fair and Its Importance on Science Education

The Concept of Science Fair and Its Importance on Science Education

Science

Creative Work

Eagerness

Educational Institute

Educational Institutions

European Education

Phenomena

Science And Technology

Science Work

Stu

Year Science

By: Kh. Atiar Rahman

The concept of science fair has been come down to us from European education pattern and their growth of culture. They firstly thought ” Science fair must be based on creativity by cultivating knowledge and intelligence of the learners”. Indeed, science fair needs to be introduced in different educational institutions by considering its pedagogical phenomena based on practical knowledge and skills. Hence, there is no alternate of practical knowledge to gain proper education in the field of Science and Technology and hence the steps for science fair is needed as a taken of creativity and awareness for acquiring knowledge among the students. Hence, the steps for science fair in the educational institute are ideally envisaged and contemporary.

In our country, every year science fair is held in different educational institute annually to create motivation of research work and enthusiasm. The teachers first collect the names and list them that they will create a project based on science and technology. The students who are found interested to introduce a new science work take a challenge and become capable of showing a different creative work. He selects a project and thinks over the work and the nature of technology behind it. Actually, he becomes responsible of inventing something like a scientist. So, it is found off and on that the students are being able to show a nice presentation in science fair. He sometimes shows something different from modern age. They can project from ancient and mediaeval age.

The authority of different schools and colleges arrange science fair in order to show the eagerness of actual knowledge and skills among the students. At this, a congenial atmosphere is developed in the institution because, they are concerning their heads about new inventions and discovery and they become conscious of awakening their ideas and thoughts. In the context of Bangladesh, every year different schools and colleges arrange science fair. They first invite names from the interested students who are willing to make the project work and to focus it in the science fair. They, like the scientists carry on research work like making law, hypothesis and theory. They seek respective ideas from different books and the achievement of scientists of the world. At last they present their creativity and thus a systematic project is reflected.

Arranging science fair is a significant step of different educational institutions through which an intensified effort is led to flourish and enrich the knowledge and skills on application of science for the students. It is hoped in future that the steps to arrange science fair is a predominating criteria to strengthen the cultivation of knowledge in applying the definitive sense of technical know- how of science. A science fair is quite different from other fairs existing in our country like a village fair and an industrial fair and so on. These fairs serve the purpose of the business where the commodities of qualitative nature are sold and displayed for making profit in question. Here, the commodities are served in the market in such a manner, where the companies good will and the nature and quality of product are vividly disclosed so that the people are much attracted to purchase it to a great extent. Besides this, in organizing science fair, the business importance is not treated as the prime factor; rather the pedagogical manifestation to gear up the intensity and potentiality of the students is given priority. Actually, the eagerness for knowing the unknown world is reflected and a better environment is flourished among the students in any educational institute where science and technology are studied extensively. Even though, there has been provided a wide range to the students in European countries for creating a broad based project as a part of their education. The students who are found attracted for learning technological skills and knowledge generally shines in life by contributing a lot in the field of education. For science fair, the following things are important:

• Environment: Like western country, appropriate environment is needed where necessary equipment will play a vital role. In many cases, only theoretical teachings are offered beside practical knowledge and skills. It is a matter of great regret that the students are deprived of gaining actual knowledge in the relevant field. Besides this, technological instruments need to be placed in different institutions so that the utilization of those equipment are properly made in a systematic manner.

• Knowledge and skills relating to science fair: The teacher should select a number of topics before allocating on the project work to the students and they should give knowledge on the steps of spreading and analyzing the topics in question. He should engage himself in creating awareness and necessary skills in the field of the application of mathematical model of science based on constructive exploration of modern appliances. The teacher should set problems on real life situation like building a model of the relevant topics. The problems must be based on practically oriented which set forth the topics covering science and its technological aspects of nature. Assuming in a teaching classroom, on Modern and electronic physics is going on. The students are feeling boring because the teacher was not well dressed and well rested. Rather he has arrived late and he has not greeted them. Some students do not understand his lecture. He is running fast. He is not identifying and helping the less able students. In this case, despite his sound knowledge in the relevant field of modern physics, he may not be treated as a good teacher. Henry Fayol defines a teacher as an active student of the students who can play very much attractive and fascinate role upon overall performances in the class. An ideal teacher needs to play a vital role in active advisor among the students. He needs to be careful about the criteria on Control, Guide, Consult and Facilitate. He should have meaningful learning experience with which he can produce constructive and mathematical presentation for creating awareness for teaching in a significant manner.

Being a science teacher, his attitude may vary according to the nature of the students’ subject area and to substantiate the actual skills. He needs to be very careful in using his voice for effective teaching. In our country, in many cases, the parents regarding performance of the teacher lodge complaints. A good teacher need not be excited and agitated towards the students. He should give chance to ask question to the students so that transfer of behaviour is made possible in a significant manner. According to Franchise Bacon, there are two types of learning: One is Pedagogy- children’s learning and the other is Andragoggy- Adult learning. In case of adult learning, we cannot teach anybody, we only help him or her to learn. So in the case of using our voice we need to be responsible and tactful.

That is to say, a teacher’s behaviour will be in such, which must attract the students for effective and efficient delivery of the relevant topics.

In delivering lecture on the topics of science, there are limitations, which may create hindrance to learning on the part of the students. Sometimes the lecture may be monotonous and boring due to continuous saying and without emphasising practical orientation and presentation on the applicability of science and technology. If there exists dryness amongst the students, the teacher should change the policy of his lecture. He should ask open-ended questions. Open ended questions help get the students involved. Assuming to know a particular thing, one may get interested if he is intended to know those particular items. In many cases, it is found that the teachers are not well experienced and they have no meaningful learning experience to show the actual answer of the problem and the topics. Even, without sufficient skills and knowledge, they are appointed as teacher which is totally insignificant. Some of the limitations of delivering a lecture are as follows:

? To ask question for ‘Yes’/ No answer.

? Not to ask open ended question to get people involved.

? Not to use agitated words

? Not to say repeatedly while delivering lecture

? Not to ask meaningful questions

? To ask several question at a time

? Not to give feedback on answers yourself, or involve others

? Not to give people a chance to absorb the question and answer it.

? Not to welcome answers

? To be critical in answering and asking questions.

An ideal science teacher needs to be well conversant about using the language. It is indispensable to create awareness and congenial atmosphere on the part of a teacher. The following are the different ways to improve lecture.

? To manage intersperse lecture with opportunities to challenge and discuss what is being delivered. In case of critical problem, he needs to synchronise and simplify it so that the actual topics become easy and understandable.

? To break the students into groups for exercises which develop lecture themes and need to be reported back and analysed. Specifically, in presenting nuclear and magnetic topics, he needs to show it with necessary apparatus and relevant calculations.

? To use case studies, which challenge students to apply the teaching, they are being given. Normally, chapter wise topics are needed to diversify to present the topics on practical themes and critics.

? To use Video record teaching sessions and analyse progress and results.

? To use role-plays to demonstrate examples of what is said in lectures.

? To split into teams which analyse the days lecture theme and give a resume of it on same / next day.

? To be prepared to facilitate and contribute to discussions and help groups prepare feedback.

? To develop feedback techniques on what a teacher observes groups doing.

? Self will agent

Regarding the teaching method, the following are important to apply in teaching the students virtually.

? Telling is not teaching

? Age is not a bar to learn

? Meaningful learning experience

? Voice, image and body use

? Practically oriented way of teaching

? Repeat, Recap and Review

? Mnemonics

? Visual Hearing and Feeling and F-ULLER

In view of the above, a good teacher selects any method to teach the students but according to Franchise Bacon, most of the good teachers select the sixth Rule of teaching that is ‘ Repeat, Recap, Review ‘ which is the most important one to make the teaching vitally effective, meaningful, fruitful and up to the mark

The reasons in support of the argument are stated as follows.

Repeat: According to Franchise Bacon, ‘when you tell something in the class to a group of students, it is only a saying but when you recapitulate it, repeat it and ask the question on the progress, it will be interacted and if you further emphasize the concept, they will be conversant with the relevant knowledge’. Indeed, incase of delivering an important message, if it is stated once-only 10% will be memorized but if it is stated 6 times then 90% are memorized after one year. So, reiteration/repetition is the most important tools for the teaching to make the topics rememberable. If the message is not remembered and understandable then the whole thing will be treated as useless.

Recap: It is generally meant by recap to go over again the vital point of the relevant contents. Using FULLE-R and VHF for better memorization can do the recap. As the first events are best memorized so to start with big message. Thereafter unusual event like cartoon, exercise etc. be used. Thirdly, linked event, here mnemonics or analogy can be used and lastly to end with big messages of fascination towards the topics. In this context, summing up the ideas to arrive the conclusion that is the gist in question to be communicated to the students as a good communicator of the teaching course. We should remember one thing that ‘ Telling is not teaching; we need to make teaching active and interesting; get students involved; see it from the student’s view; we should use VHF and FULL-R. According to Commoneus, a famous educationist, for an effective teaching, ‘only lecture is immaterial but in order to ornament it for better memorization, ideal approach, demonstration, visual display and varieties of attractions of the students are needed’

Review: A proverb always goes like ‘ To err is human’. It is human nature to forget the things/message, which is not reviewed that are we losing what we don’t review. To review we are to regularly sum up where we have reached and invited questions.

At the end of every topics if the teacher repeats, recap and review, ask questions and help them to answer properly, the trainees will be more motivated and conversant with the subjects and grasp it properly so that teaching will be effective and fruitful.

In view of the above, it is obvious that the role of teachers for science education cannot be ignored. The expansion of science fair is inevitable in the domain of practical oriented type of teachings where a student will achieve proper knowledge in creating constructive project work that will be ultimately helpful for the country. If the educational institutions emphasise technological aspects on science, the integrity to work in the field of science and its application of science fair will be enhanced intensively. They were a barbarous people who worshipped idols of their own making, believed warfare and bloodshed to be virtuous and were even capable of killing their own children. They had little interest in intellectual matters, let alone a scientific outlook to the natural world.

However, through Islam they learned humanity and civilization. Not only the Arabs but all the communities which accepted Islam escaped the darkness of the age of ignorance and were illuminated by the divine wisdom of the Qur’an. Amongst the faculties the Qur’an brought to humanity was scientific thinking.

The Scientific Paradigm Given in the Qur’an

The genesis of scientific thought is the sense of curiosity. Because people wonder how the universe and nature work, they investigate and become interested in science. But most people lack this curiosity. For them, the important things are not the secrets of the universe and nature but their own small worldly profits and pleasures. In communities where people who think in this way are in charge, science does not develop. Idleness and ignorance rule.

The Arab community before the Qur’an was of this type. But the verses of the Qur’an called upon them to think, to investigate and to use their minds, perhaps for the first time in their lives.

In one of the first revealed verses of the Qur’an, God drew the attention of the Arabs to the camel, a part of their everyday lives:

Have they not looked at the camel-how it was created?

And at the sky-how it was raised up?

And at the mountains-how they were embedded?

And at the earth-how it is spread out?

So remind them! You are only a reminder. (Qur’an, 88: 17-21)

In many other verses of the Qur’an, people are instructed to examine nature and learn from it because people can know God only by examining His creations. Because of this, in one verse of the Qur’an Muslims are defined as people who think about the creation of the heavens and the earth:

Those who remember God, standing, sitting and lying on their sides, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth (saying): “Our Lord, You have not created this for nothing. Glory be to You! So safeguard us from the punishment of the Fire.” (Qur’an, 3: 191)

An early manuscript of the Qur’an.

As a result of this, for a Muslim, taking an interest in science is a very important form of worship. In many verses of the Qur’an, God instructs Muslims to investigate the heavens, the earth, living things or their own existence and think about them. When we look at the verses, we find indications of all the main branches of science in the Qur’an.

For example, in the Qur’an, God encourages the science of astronomy:

He who created the seven heavens in layers. You will not find any flaw in the creation of the All-Merciful. Look again-do you see any gaps? (Qur’an, 67: 3)

In another verse of the Qur’an, God encourages the investigation of astronomy and the composition of the earth that is the science of geology:

Do they not look at the sky above them? How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it? And the earth- We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and produced therein every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs)-To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to God). (Qur’an, 50: 6-8)

In the Qur’an, God also encourages the study of botany:

It is He Who sends down water from the sky from which We bring forth growth of every kind, and from that We bring forth the green shoots and from them We bring forth close-packed seeds, and from the spathes of the date palm date clusters hanging down, and gardens of grapes and olives and pomegranates, both similar and dissimilar. Look at their fruits as they bear fruit and ripen. There are Signs in that for people who believe. (Qur’an, 6:99)

In another verse of the Qur’an, God draws attention to zoology:

You have a lesson in livestock… (Qur’an, 16:66)

Here is a Qur’anic verse about the sciences of archaeology and anthropology:

Have they not traveled in the earth and seen the final fate of those before them? (Qur’an, 30: 9)

In another verse of the Qur’an, God draws attention to the proof of God in a person’s own body and spirit:

There are certainly Signs in the earth for people with certainty; and in yourselves as well. Do you not then see? (Qur’an, 51: 20-21)

As we can see, God recommends all the sciences to Muslims in the Qur’an. Because of this the growth of Islam in history meant at the same time the growth of scientific knowledge.

The Scientific Renaissance of the Middle East

Muslim scholars in Baghdat, the world’s

scientific capital of the time.

As we have mentioned, when the Prophet Mohammed (pbh) began to preach Islam, the Arabs were a community of ignorant, superstitious tribes. However, thanks to the light of the Qur’an they were rescued from superstition and began to follow the path of reason. As a result of this, one of the most astonishing developments in world history took place and in a few decades Islam, which emerged from the small town of Medina, spread from Africa to Central Asia. The Arabs, who previously could not even rule a single city in harmony, came to be rulers of a world empire.

One of the most important facets of this empire was that it provided the stage for a scientific development previously unmatched in history. At a time when Europe was living through the Dark Ages, the Islamic world created the greatest legacy of scientific knowledge seen in history to that date. The sciences of medicine, geometry, algebra, astronomy and even sociology were developed systematically for the first time.

Great centers of religious learning were also centers of knowledge and scientific development. Such formal centers began during the Abbasid period (750-1258 A.D.) when thousands of mosque schools were established. In the tenth century Baghdad had some 300 schools. Alexandria in the fourteenth century had 12,000 students. It was in the tenth century that the formal concept of the Madrassah (school) was developed in Baghdad. The Madrassah had a curriculum and full-time and part-time teachers, many of whom were women. Rich and poor alike received free education. From there Maktabat (libraries) were developed and foreign books acquired. The two most famous are Bait al-Hikmah in Baghdad (ca. 820) and Dar al-Ilm in Cairo (ca. 998). Universities such as Al-Azhar (969 A.D.) were also established long before those in Europe. The Islamic world created the first universities – and even hospitals – in the world.

Islamic scientific manuscripts of the Medieval Age; meticulous studies on human anatomy and zoology.

This fact may be very surprising to modern Westerners, who generally have a different kind of picture about Islam in their minds. But this picture emerges from ignorance about the origins and history of the Islamic civilization. Those who get rid of this ignorance – and several prejudices – acknowledge the true nature of Islam. One example of these is a recent documentary film by PBS, titled Islam: The Empire of Faith, in which the commentator rightly states that:

In the unfolding of history, Islamic civilization has been one of humanity’s grandest achievements… For the West, much of the history of Islam has been obscured behind a veil of fear and misunderstanding. Yet Islam’s hidden history in deeply and surprisingly interwoven with Western civilization… It was they (Muslim scholars) who sewed the seeds of the Renaissance, 600 years before the birth of Leonardo da Vinci. From the way we heal the sick to the numerals we use for counting, cultures across the globe have been shaped by the Islamic civilization. 1

In an article published in Salon.com, a prominent voice of the liberal American media, author George Rafael writes in an article titled “A Is For Arabs” that;

From algebra and coffee to guitars, optics and universities… the West owes to the People of the Crescent Moon… A millennium ago, while the West was shrouded in darkness, Islam enjoyed a golden age. Lighting in the streets of Cordoba when London was a barbarous pit; religious tolerance in Toledo while pogroms raged from York to Vienna. As custodians of our classical legacy, Arabs were midwives to our Renaissance. Their influence, however alien it might seem, has always been with us, whether it’s a cup of steaming hot Joe or the algorithms in computer programs. 2

The Open-Mindedness of Islam

What allowed Muslims to create such an advanced scientific culture was derived from the faculties of the Islamic understanding. One of them was, as we have noted, the motive to learn about the universe and nature according to the Qur’anic principles. Another one was open-mindedness. Both the Qur’anic wisdom and the Prophetic teaching gave Muslims a global outlook to the world, overcoming all cultural barriers. In the Qur’an, God states:

Mankind! We created you from a male and female, and made you into peoples and tribes so that you might come to know each other…” (Qur’an, 49:13)

This verse clearly encourages cultural relationships between different nations and communities. In another verse of the Qur’an is it stated that “Both East and West belong to Allah” (2:115), thus Muslims should see the world in a universalist and cosmopolitan vision.

The hadiths, or sayings, of the Prophet also encourage this vision. In a popular hadith, the Prophet tells Muslims that “wisdom is the lost property of the Muslims; he takes it from wherever he finds”. This means that Muslims should be very pragmatic and broadminded in adapting and using the cultural and scientific achievements of non-Muslims; those non-Muslims are also creatures and servants of God, even they might not recognize so. The “People of The Book”, i.e. Christians and Jews, are even much more compatible, since they believe in God and stick to moral code He revealed to man.

In the rise of Islamic science, the role of this open-mindedness is very clear to see. John Esposito of the Georgetown University, one of the most prominent Western experts on Islam, makes the following comment:

The genesis of Islamic civilization was indeed a collaborative effort, incorporating the learning and wisdom of many cultures and languages. As in government administration, Christians and Jews, who had been the intellectual and bureaucratic backbone of the Persian and Byzantine empires, participated in the process as well as Muslims. This “ecumenical” effort was evident at the Caliph al-Mamun’s (reigned 813-33) House of Wisdom and at the translation center headed by the renowned scholar Hunayn ibn Isaq, a Nestorian Christian. This period of translation and assimilation was followed by one of Muslim intellectual and artistic creativity. Muslims ceased to be disciples and became masters, in process producing Islamic civilization, dominated by the Arabic language and Islam’s view of life… Major contributions were made in many fields: literature and philosophy, algebra and geometry, science and medicine, art and architecture… Great urban cultural centers in Cordoba, Baghdad, Cairo, Nishapur, and Palermo emerged and eclipsed Christian Europe, mired in Dark Ages. 3

According to one of the great Muslim scholars of our time, Seyyed Hossein Nasr, Islamic science was “the first science of a truly international nature in human history”. 4

Another Medieval Muslim manuscript describing the planetary motion.

Yet Muslims did not only incorporate other cultures, but developed their own. Some commentators neglect this and try to link the Islamic scientific development solely to the influence of the Ancient Greece or Far East. But the real source of Islamic science was the experimentation and observations of Muslim scientists. In his book The Middle East, Professor Bernard Lewis, an undoubted expert in Middle Eastern history, explains it as follows:

The achievement of medieval Islamic science is not limited to the preservation of Greek learning, nor to the incorporation in the corpus of elements from the more ancient and more distant East. This heritage which medieval Islamic scientists handed on to the modern world was immensely enriched by their own efforts and contributions. Greek science, on the whole rather tended to be theoretical. Medieval Middle Eastern science was much more practical, and in such fields as medicine, chemistry, astronomy and agronomy, the classical heritage was clarified and supplemented by the experiments and observations of the medieval Middle East. 5

As noted by Westerners, this advanced scientific culture of the Islamic world paved the way for the Western Renaissance. Muslim scientists acted in the knowledge that their investigation of God’s creation was a path through which they could get to know Him. Esposito stresses that “Muslim scientists, who were often philosophers of mystics as well, viewed physical universe from within their Islamic worldview and context as a manifestation of the presence of God, the Creator and the source and unity and harmony in nature.” 6 With the transfer of this paradigm and its accumulation of knowledge to the Western world, the advance of the West began.

The Theist Origins of Western Science

Medieval Europe was ruled by the dogmatic regime of the Catholic Church. The Church opposed freedom of thought and pressured scientists. People could be punished by the Inquisition simply for holding different beliefs or ideas. Their books were burned and they themselves were executed. The pressure on research in the Middle Ages is often referred to in history books, but some interpret the situation wrongly and claim that the scientists who clashed with the Church were against religion.

The truth is the exact opposite-the scientists who opposed the bigotry of the church were religious believers. They were not against religion, but against the harsh clericalism of the time.

For example, the famous astronomer Galileo, whom the Church wanted to punish because he stated that the world rotated, said, “I render infinite thanks to God for being so kind as to make me alone the first observer of marvels kept hidden in obscurity for all previous centuries.” 7

The other scientists who established modern science were all religious.

Kepler, regarded as the founder of modern astronomy, told those who asked him why he busied himself with science, “I had the intention of becoming a theologian… but now I see how God is, by my endeavors, also glorified in astronomy, for ‘heavens declare the glory of God’”. 8

As for Newton, one of the greatest scientists in history, he explained the reason underlying his zeal for scientific endeavor by saying:

“…He (God) is eternal and infinite, omnipotent and omniscient; that is, his duration reaches from eternity to eternity; his presence from infinity to infinity; he governs all things, and knows all things that are or can be done. …We know him only by his most wise and excellent contrivances of things… [W]e revere and adore him as his servants…” 9

The great genius Pascal, the father of modern mathematics, said that: “But by faith we know His (God’s) existence; in glory we shall know His nature.” 10

Many other founders of modern Western science were also strong believers. For example:

” Von Helmont, one of the leading figures in modern chemistry and the inventor of the thermometer, declared that science was a part of faith.

” George Cuvier, the founder of modern paleontology, regarded fossils as surviving proofs of the Creation and taught that living species had been created by God.

” Carl Linnaeus, who first systematized scientific classification, believed in the Creation and stated that the natural order was a significant proof of God’s existence.

” Gregor Mendel, the founder of genetics, and also a monk, believed in Creation and opposed the evolutionary theories of his time, such as Darwinism and Lamarckism.

” Louis Pasteur, the greatest name in the history of microbiology, proved that life could not be created in inert matter and taught that life was a miracle of God.

” The famous German physicist Max Planck said that the Creator of the universe was God and stressed that faith was a necessary quality of scientists.

” Albert Einstein, regarded as the most important scientist of the twentieth century, believed that science could not be godless and said, “science without religion is lame.”

A large number of other scientists who guided modern scientific progress were religious people who believed in God. These scientists served science with the intention of discovering the universe that God had created – a paradigm that was first developed and implemented in the Islamic world and then incorporated into the West. All these theist scientists thought about the creation of the heavens and the earth and investigated in the awareness of God – as God decreed in the Qur’an and the Bible. The birth of science and its development were the result of this awareness.

During the nineteenth century, however, this awareness was replaced by a misconception called materialism.

The Rise and Fall of the Materialist Deviation

The nineteenth century was a period that witnessed the greatest errors in human history. These errors began with the imposition on European thought of materialist philosophy, an ancient Greek teaching.

The greatest error of this period was Darwin’s theory of evolution. Before the birth of Darwinism, biology was accepted as a branch of science that provided evidence of the existence of God. In his book Natural Theology, the famous author William Paley maintained that, to the extent that every clock proves the existence of a clockmaker, natural designs prove the existence of God.

However, Darwin rejected this truth in his theory of evolution. By distorting the truth to fit materialist philosophy, he claimed that all living things were the result of blind natural causes. In this way he created an artificial antagonism between religion and science.

In their book The Messianic Legacy, English authors Michael Baigent, Richard Leigh and Henry Lincoln have this to say on the subject:

For Isaac Newton, a century and a half before Darwin, science was not separate from religion but, on the contrary, an aspect of religion, and ultimately subservient to it. …But the science of Darwin’s time became precisely that, divorcing itself from the context in which it had previously existed and establishing itself as a rival absolute, an alternative repository of meaning. As a result, religion and science were no longer working in concert, but rather stood opposed to each other, and humanity was increasingly forced to choose between them. 11

Not only biology, but also branches of sciences such as psychology and sociology were twisted according to materialist philosophy. Astronomy was distorted according to the materialist dogmas of ancient pagan Greece; a metaphysical faith in an “eternal cosmos” came to be the norm. The new aim of science was to confirm materialist philosophy.

These incorrect ideas have dragged the scientific world into a dead end for the past 150 years. Tens of thousands of scientists from different branches worked in the hope of being able to prove Darwinism or other materialist theories.

But they were disappointed.

The scientific evidence showed the exact opposite of the conclusion they wanted to reach. That is, it confirmed the truth of Creation. Today the world of science is astonished by this truth. When nature is examined it emerges that there is a complex plan and design in every detail and this has cut away the foundations of materialist philosophy.

For example, the extraordinary structure of DNA shows scientists that it is not the result of blind chance or natural laws. The DNA in a single human cell contains enough information to fill a whole 900-volume encyclopedia. Gene Myers, a scientist from the Celera Company which administers the Human Genome Project, says this:

What really astounds me is the architecture of life… The system is extremely complex. It’s like it was designed… There’s a huge intelligence there. 12

This astonishment affects the whole scientific world. Scientists are viewing with surprise the invalidity of the materialist philosophy and Darwinism which they were taught as truth, and some of them are declaring this openly. In his book Darwin’s Black Box, biochemist Michael Behe, one of the leading critics of Darwinism, describes the situation of the scientific world as follows:

Over the past four decades modern biochemistry has uncovered the secrets of the cell. The progress has been hard won. It has required tens of thousands of people to dedicate the better parts of their lives to the tedious work of the laboratory…

The result of these cumulative efforts to investigate the cell-to investigate life at the molecular level-is a loud, clear, piercing cry of “design!” The result is so unambiguous and so significant that it must be ranked as one of the greatest achievements in the history of science…

But, no bottles have been uncorked, no hands clapped. Why does the scientific community not greedily embrace its startling discovery? The dilemma is that while one side of the [issue] is labeled intelligent design, the other side must be labeled God. 13

The same situation exists in astronomy. The astronomy of the twentieth century has demolished the materialist theories of the nineteenth. First with the Big Bang theory, it emerged that the universe had a beginning, the moment of Creation. Since then it has been realized that in the universe there is an extraordinarily delicate balance which protects human life – a concept known as the anthropic principle.

For these reasons, in the world of physics and astronomy atheism is in rapid decline. As American physicist Robert Griffiths jokingly remarks: “If we need an atheist for a debate, I go to the philosophy department. The physics department isn’t much use.” 14

In short, in our day and age materialist philosophy is collapsing. Science is rediscovering certain very important facts rejected by materialist philosophy and in this way a new concept of science is being born. The “Intelligent Design” theory, which has been on a successful rise in the United States during the past 10 years, is a leading part of this new scientific concept. Those who accept this theory stress that Darwinism was the greatest error in the history of science and that there is an intelligent design in nature that gives evidence of Creation.

Conclusion

God created the entire universe, and the whole of creation shows humanity the signs of God. Science is the method of investigating what has been created, so conflict between religion and science – provided that religion is guided only by Divine revelation – is out of the question.

On the contrary, history shows that theism has been the main motive and paradigm for scientific progress. The two greatest scientific achievements in world history – the Islamic scientific endeavor of the Medieval Age and the Christian scientific leap of the modern era – stemmed from faith in God. Moreover, the latter borrowed a great deal of knowledge, method and vision from the former. The wisdom of the Qur’an first enlightened the Islamic world and then shed light even to the non-Muslim Europe. If something went wrong in the Islamic world, this was because Muslims turned away from the sincerity, wisdom and open-mindedness God teaches in the Qur’an.

The materialist paradigm is a deviation from this pattern. It arose in the 19th century, reached its peak in the mid-20th century and is on the brink of collapse today. No matter how arrogant and seemingly self-confident its supporters are, the materialist dogma and its main pillar, Darwinism, will inevitably perish in the upcoming decades.

And science will return to its authentic and true paradigm: A search for the discovery and definition of the great design and harmony in the natural world, the artifact of God.

Under the pen name of Harun Yahya, Adnan Oktar has written some 250 works. Folk, singing, dancing, acting like that are washing machines, or viewing objects like they were invisible. When it comes down to utilizing hypnosis to lose weight you are probably not interested in any of the above. But there are some aspects to a stage hypnotist’s bag of tricks you may need your hypnotherapist to be employed in your hypnosis weight reduction session. What a stage hypnotist is in a position to do, is rapidly induce que controlled behaviour. Now we train ourselves to do this all time.

Noetic Science is given a large amount of credit for precognitions

You see a red light while driving, you apply the break. A ball is thrown towards you and your hand goes out and catches it. There’s the stimulus the red light. There’s the reaction, putting your foot on the brake. There is the stimulus a ball coming towards your head and there’s the reaction catching the ball. There’s the stimulus the ringing of the telephone, and there’s the reaction, picking up the telephone. There’s no need to consciously make the decision to take action.

A hypnotist on stage is employing a similar process, just speeding up the time it takes to learn the response. When I say the word sleep, you close your eyes. When I click my fingers you roar like a lion. When it comes to using hypnosis for weight reduction a hypnotherapist should be including some cue controlled reactions. When you see the brown wrapping of a chocolate bar it makes you feel offended. When you open the fridge door, you only see the sensible foods. When serve your dinner portions, you put half as much on the plate and are just as satisfied. For some people these cue controlled behaviors combined into their hypnosis sessions work very well and changes in eating habits may occur awfully quickly. For others the effects are far more delicate. and quite possibly more pronounced to say the least

to extend the efficacy of these reactions you want to be very specific about what the stimulus is and what the response is. As an example, asserting, when you see bad foods, you no longer feel a bit like them is a poor choice of words. A good choice is, when you see the bright red color of a bottle of coke, you feel disgust at the concept of all the sugar entering your healthful body, so you turn and walk away .

but don’t forget this is only one little side to hypnotherapy for weight reduction. If it is working for you great, you are going to get off to a flying start. There are lots of other methodologies to help you shed weight thru hypnosis, and your hypnotherapist will be able to find the best tools that work for you.

.

Related posts:

What is Hypnosis and is it Effective?

Networking Magic! 5 Stick & Move Tactics to Make Your Network Work Like Magic!

The Concept of Science Fair and Its Importance on Science Education

Quran and Science of Meterology

Science

By: shaukat awanSCIENCE OF METEOROLOGY

And has challenged the world to bring a chapter like it, when I was asked that Quran was not the book of science, it was only the book of religion. How therefore, the treatment of the subjects like atomic science, the atomic bombs and atomic radiations could be expected in a book of religion. My answer to this was and is that the Quran is a book of a religion indeed, but it is the book of a religion that is perfect and complete and may be expected to provide answer to every question that was concerned with the humanity. If the destruction of the habitations of Sodom and Gomorrah received a mention in it, while these habitations were no larger than a negligible part of a modern city, how then the mention of a destroyer which would not leave so much as a blade of grass unburnt from one end of the world to the other, could be ignored without damaging the claim to universality. The Quran must be expected to give an answer to the question of atomic annihilation of the world. Again it may be asked whether the Quran contains the outcome of the research of modern science of meteorology. The answer to this question is yes it does. Quran shows this in one sign (Ayat) of about forty words. Read the following from the Quran regarding the phenomenon of rain and hail:-

” Hast thou not seen that Allah gently driveth forward the clouds and gathereth them together, and then layeth them in heaps? Thou also seeth the rain which falleth from the midst thereof, and Allah sendeth down from heaven, from mountains wherein there is hail, He striketh therewith whom he pleaseth, and turneth the same from whom He pleaseth, the brightness of His lightening wanteth but little of taking away the sight”.

( Quran XXIV – 43 )

” Have you not seen that God drives the clouds, then joins them together and puts them fold on fold. Then you see the rain fall through them; and He sends down hail from the sky where there are mountains of it, and strikes those with it whom. He will, and wards it off from whomsoever He pleaseth. His lightning could snatch away their eyes”.

(Quran – An-Nur-43 The Light)

You have read it now, or you have heard it. And if you pen to be a meteorologist, how much of the science of modern meteorology you have discerned in it, so that after we have explained it, you might compare. To most of the readers of the Quran it is merely a matter of common observation which has been mentioned by the Quran ; whether in the translation or in the original Arabic text of the Quran. Let this be remembered, however, that the mysteries are revealed only in the original Arabic text and never in the translations. It is the Arabic text of the Quran that reveals the essence of the modern science of meteorology about the phenomenon of rain and hail. Read the Quran -An Noor-43 )

In the first sight there appears to be no scientific facts of the modern research, but by the grace of Al-mighty Allah there are scientific facts to be revealed to those possessed of knowledge, and sincere in their faith in the Quran. The original Arabic text of the Quran has miracles to reveal. Most complex, intricate and perplexing facts of science and philosophy may be found in the words and mysteries discovered. To a knowledgeable reader the world of the Quran appears like kaleidoscopic world. The words changing their forms and clows and assuming new forms and colours, astonishing and perplexing the poor human intellect. During my forty-year long research in the Quran more than once I went to sleep with satisfaction that I had exhausted the meanings of a certain sign. But next morning to my surprise I saw the same sign blossoming with fresh flowers that had exchanging colours and delightful fragrance.

Let it be remembered that the modern science of meteorology is of recent origin, while the Quran was revealed fourteen centuries ago. If therefore the discoveries of the mo dern meteorology are found in the Quran, there remains no doubt about the divine original of the Quran, and the Quran deserves to assume a unique place among the divine scriptures.

We will now interpret the sign (Ayat) of the Quran in the light of all the latest discoveries of science in the field of meteorology. It is generally observed by the Non-Muslims, that whenever a discovery of science appears, the Muslims prop up the Quran saying, Lo! here is it written in the Quran, why the Muslims cannot find these facts from the Quran before the discovery is declared by science. The answer to this objection is, that firstly the Quran is not the text book of science to teach the people the technique of producing the things that are produced by the science, rather the Quran observes and regulates the entire life of humanity, every aspect of it. Therefore the Quran has its own style of treating the subject of pure science. Secondly, the Quran would not like the appearance of certain things or their wrong use in order to keep the humanity safe from the noxious effects thereof. Therefore the Quran treats such subjects of science in its peculiar manner. For instance the Quran has treated the atomic science, the entire essence of the subject, but has not taught to build the atomic bombs. Thirdly, if the Quran had explained the inventions of science as we see them today and had used the terms as we hear them today, it is not difficult to imagine that the hearers of that time, would have stampeded away thrusting their fingers in their ears, yelling, ” How impossible, how nonsensical, away, away to your rational creed, the creed of our fathers”. The fate of Islam was thus no hidden secret. And it was a miracle of the Quran, to say a thing comprehensible and appealing to its first hearers, and conceal within the same language that could answer all that was to come in time in any form, scientific, philosophic, economical, social. Yet let it be understood that the corroboration of the Quran and science is a topic fraught with imminent dangers. Science changes while the Quran is constant. Once said, for-ever said. The corroborator therefore must have thorough knowledge of science, to discern the established facts from more theories and hypotheses, and should at the same time have the thorough knowledge of the Quran to its real mind. Otherwise there is a great possibility of wrecking the reputation of the Quran, and making this word of God about of ridicule, unrecking at the same time the doom of the corroborator himself. I have seen many a corroborator that blundered in this field and fell from the cliffs to the vale of ignominy. God save us from such a doom. I myself am a corroborator, but I weigh a thing a hundred times and pass many a sleepless nights before I find courage to pen a single fact or to bring it on record. Yet I pray to Allah, the Merciful to guide me aright in this hazardous field and let me have no personal or other consideration, and forgive any slip of fall. I am obliged to take to this field for no other reason than that it has become the inevitable necessity of these days. Otherwise the early authentic commentators of the Quran have left no point unambiguous.

Now let us revert to our topic in the name of Allah the Benign, the Merciful. Allah says:-

“(Alam Tara). Has thou not seen?” This question was first posed to the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) and his contemporary Arabs. Now it could be posed to the meteorologist. This is the marvellous feature of the All-time and eternal Quran.

Then :-

“(Annallaha Yuzji). That is God drives”. It is to contradict the view of those who think that the laws of nature work on their own, or that the whole affair of creation is accidental only. Here the God asserts his complete control of the Phenomenon.

Then (Yuzji Sahaban). (Sahab) means a cloud, but the derivatives formed on its root (sahaba) give the meanings as, to drive along, to drag along, to withdraw, to recall, to retract etc. The modern meteorological science on this point says, ” Previous to a thunderstorm, the clouds are in great commotion. Great masses being torn asunder, others uniting together. These clouds being electrified, some more some less strongly, act inductively on one another, and if a piece happens to be torn away with more than its fair share of electricity that has been induced into it, it may soar away intensely electrified, several such pieces may unite to form a big cloud”.

Then The Quran says:-

” (Thumma Yuallifu Bainahu). That is thereafter affects between the different parts of the cloud a harmony and achieves affinity between them. Generally it is translated as ” and gathereth them together”. In order to know what sort of harmony and affinity is affected and achieved between the various parts of the cloud, let us read the following from the science of meteorology.

” To achieve the coalescence of the minute spherules of water into fallable rain drops, a proper electrical affinity, between a particle and a particle within the cloud and further, within the cloud and the earth has to be achieved. In the presence of a strong positive charge in the cloud the SPHERULES WOULD TEND TOWARDS SEPARATION, EXCLUDING ANY POSSIBILITY OF THEIR COALESCENCE. A charge of milder sort in the vicinity has been found to be helpful for the desired coalescence for the spherules into rain drops. The necessity of the ELECTRIC POTENTIAL and hence the electricity itself, having thus been established a slight ACIDIFICATION of the cloud water is to be UNDERSTOOD as a means to impart conductivity to the water, which in a state of its purity is a bad conductor of electricity”.

Let the great masters of Chemistry read these chemical processes explained by the Quran.

Then the Quran says:-

” (Thumma Yajaluhu rukaaman)”. That is then “layeth them in heaps”. Let us read what the modern meteorological science says about the heaping up of the cloud. It says:-

” When the vapour in the air is condensed not through contact with cold bodies, but through the cooling of a mass of vapour -ladden air, then a cloud is formed. A cloud consists of fine drops of water. if it be near the ground it is called mist or fog. It would at the outset seem impossible to classify or account for the myriads of forms of the cloud, but when we come to observe and watch them closely, two main types of cloud-forms assert themselves. Those which appear in fillowy well-defined shapes, and those which spread over the heavens in a layer thick or thin, partial or complete. The former of these is called CUMULUS, a Latin word meaning HEAP, the latter STRATUS, a Latin word meaning A LAYER. These names are due to LUKE HORWARD (1802) and have been used by all cloud observers since his time. The meteorological science is of recent origin. It developed within the centuries of this modern age. Luke Horward (1802) first used the Terms CUMULUS and STRATUS”.

The Quran has anticipated him by centuries. The word Rukaaman which the Quran has used means exactly the CUMULUS. So far as the Term STRATUS is concerned, the Quran has used it in another sign (verse) about the very same topic. The sign is as follows:

That is : ” Allah is He who sendeth the wind so that they raise clouds, and spreadeth them along the sky as pleaseth Him. And forms them in layers, and thou seest the rain downpouring from within them”.

( Quran XXX – 48 )

” It is God who sends the breezes that raise clouds, then spreads them over the sky as He please, fold on fold, then you see the drops of rain issue from between them. When He sends it down to those of His creatures as He will, they are filled with joy”.

(Quran The Romans, 48)

The actual word is (Kisafan) which means to lay in layers, to stratify, to lay layer upon layer. It is exactly the term STRATUS, the term of Luke Horward. Though generally it is translated as, “causeth them to break”. It is surprising to note, that the Quran anticipated Luke Horward (1802) by centuries. The words of the Quran thus are not only scientific but also prophetic.

Then the Quran says:-

(Fataral Wadaqa Yakhruju min khilaalihi). That is : Thou seest the rain which falleth from the midst thereof. Actual word is (Min Khilaalihi), that is the rain is pouring from the (khilal) of the cloud. The meaning of this word is pin, skewer, spit. The root of this word is (khallala) which means to acetify. “Khal” means vinegar. Now the necessity of the acidification of the cloud water we have already narrated in the previous pages. A charge of milder sort is essential to achieve the coalescence of the spherules. The charge necessitates electricity. But pure water is a bad conductor of electricity. It is necessary therefore to acetify the water to endue water with the quality of conductivity. Thus the role of the word (khilal ) in the phenomenon becomes clear, to mean that no (khilal) meant no rain, and therefore no life on earth.

The Quran further says:-

(wa yunazzilu min assamaae min jibaalin fiha min bardin). That is:- ” And Allah sendeth down from heaven, from mountains wherein there is hail”. First imagine a cloud like a mountain of hail. How beautiful is the mountain of white pearls and how exact but novel is the simile. But the point which attracts our attention is hidden in the word (jibaal) which means mountains. The root of this word is (jabala) which means to kneed. Perhaps the most astonishing discovery of the modern meteorological science is that no mist nor fog could be formed, unless there were present in the vapour-laden air particles of dust or sand to act as the nucleus for the spherules of water that constitute the fog. This has been proved, since air filtered through cotton wool, has no tendency towards fog formation. The hail pellets likewise have been found to have been built around a spec of dust acting as their Nucleus, a process in distinction from that of the formation of snow. Now let us see the word (jibaal) that is mountains used by the Quran. The word Jibaal has been derived from the root-verb (jabala) which means to kneed. Then imagine a cloud of rain or of hail, wherein every spherule has a spec of dust or sand though invisible to naked eye. Certainly the cloud appears like a mountain made of dust particles kneeded with water. Remarkable also is the role of mountains in the formation of rain.

Now in the end it may be asked that the Quran in this phenomenon has made no mention of the great role played by the air. It is the air that carries the moisture, and it is the air that wafts the clouds. without the air no rain would have been possible. The question takes our thought to another sign (Ayat) of the Quran which is identical with the sign which we are discussing, and has mentioned the role of air. In the previous pages we have alluded to sing just read:-

(Quran-Alarum -48)

(Allah-u-lazi yursilu-arriaha fatuseeru sahaban). That is, ” He is Allah who sendeth the winds, so that they raise clouds”.

( Quran XXX-48 )

The Quran’s challenge, “Bring ye a chapter like unto it” stands good for every age, including this age of science. The knowledge of science shown by the Qruan is such that no scientist will ever think of being an equal to or like the Quran, the amazing word of Allah, the God of the worlds.

Related posts:

Some Miracle of the Quran – 5

Bible Versus Quran Versus Sciences, (24) the Units of Weight

The Fish in Sciences, Bible and Quran

Bike Sailing: 21st Century Innovation or a Science Project Gone Bad

Science

Carbon Monoxide

Carbon Monoxide Emissions

Delivery Store

Endurance

Mother Nature

Ozone Layer Depletion

Pizza Delivery

Science Project

Transportation Sector

Triangular Sail

By: Bianca LaurenWith ozone-layer depletion a great issue nowadays, inventors are developing new ideas. The transportation sector in particular is getting all the bad publicity. And as carbon monoxide emissions become the focus of tighter regulations both in the US and Europe, the race for eco-friendly vehicles is on.

One of the inventors who rely on the powers of Mother Nature is Vladimir Zam. His wind-powered bike is designed with a triangular sail. The big question is: how will the bike run?

The design for US Patent 6932368 calls for a sail attachment to be linked to the bicycle harnesses wind to move the bicycle forward. A wind receiving sail is available at the attachment, which can generate the wind needed to power the bike.

Would the addition of a sail attachment qualifies it an invention? It looks more like a science project gone bad. Seriously, the design for this patent is an awkward cross between a sail boat and a bicycle. Considering that the patent retains most of the features of a regular bike, the sail attachment just complicate matters. Whereas, people could simply rely on their two feet to forward a bicycle.

Imagine yourself driving this thing around in the middle of the metropolis traffic jam. That is provided you could survive peddling a long the streets without being dragged through your sail by speeding vehicles. On the upside, well you could make money using this bike to money. For instance, why don’t you convince your local pizza delivery store to advertise on your sail. You’ll just have to capitalize on your endurance and be able to bike for three acres or until you drop dead, whichever comes first.

So what do you guys think? Is this an innovative invention or just a product of a man having too much time on his hands?

Related posts:

Waldorf Education – a 21st Century Masterpiece

Control these Rare Earths and you control the energy technology and economy of the 21st century

Employers High Demand for Students and Workers With an Informational and Technical Education in the Emerging 21st Century

Science of Mind Power and Entrainment Techniques

Science

Basic Science

Brain

Common Sense

Difference Tone

Entrainment

Human Ear

music

Subsonic

Wavelength

Wavelengths

By: Gregory FrostHere, we are talking about binaural beats and why they deserve such special mention because they actually form the basis of one of the most popular and effective brainwave mind augmentation techniques is available today. What this is engineered and sculpted sounds that have been produced with the specific intent to create a sort of response in the brain that is needed to produce the effects of mind power and entrainment. How this works is that the person who is engineering the beat will first choose a medium. It can be anything from visual to auditory, or sometimes a mix of both, but in this, we will be concentrating on the auditory.

He or she will choose a medium, and normally it is some form of music or recorded sounds that have been proven to relax the mind and slip it into a state where it is most susceptible to these beats. Of course, this is also combined with the common sense that the person listening to this medium must be in a quiet place, or else, the effectiveness of this technology will then be greatly reduced.

Then, using this technology, the medium will be engineered in such a way that they produce two different tones and wavelengths in each of the ear, with the intent that it produces a difference tone that is both subsonic and equals to the wavelength value that is needed to be entrained in the first place. The reason that the beat is subsonic is that the values are normally quite low anyway, and while the normal human ear will not be able to pick up on the difference, it is the cortical in the cortex that would be able to pick up on the frequency and thus have a frequency following effect.

The carrier frequency would normally be in the range of 300 – 600Hz, and a typical entrainment production carrier frequency would be 510 and 540, which would then produce a 30Hz subsonic following response. And thus this is the basic science of mind power and entrainment techniques. All the rest of the techniques which are available are based on the very same fundamentals, which means that at the end of the day, the cortical in the mind must be excited to the same frequencies that are needed to be entrained. If you are considering to get this sort of brainwave entrainment technology, there are plenty of options for you. The best source that seems to have the most resources for this technology is the internet and a quick search online would reveal tons of sources for you to refer to.

Of course, with this, you need to be able to do some research and get the best possible product. Considering the progress of technology in recent years, there are plenty of back end resources on the web that does reviews on products like these, and you will be able to find out which is the best for you, depending on the price, application and type of medium.

Related posts:

Supraconscious Mind (december Issue)

Science Teacher Resources: Things Many Science Teachers Can’t Live Without

Beliefs – the Key to Potential Power

Space Travel: Science or Fiction?

Science

Accelerating Force

G Forces

Government Conspiracy

Interstellar Travel

Light Speed

Neil Armstrong Walked On The Moon

Piece Of Paper

Space Travel

Speed Of Light

Star Craft

By: Fran BlackThere are those who deny Neil Armstrong walked on the moon and maintain the whole story was a government conspiracy. The idea that man could actually break away from our cradle of atmosphere and gravity was once fiction of the highest sort. Yet one dreamer made it a reality. What is there not to believe about space travel? Will there be a time when such a thing is feasible?

If interstellar travel requires traveling at light speed, the situation is not promising. The biggest hurdles against such travel are g-forces and time. G-forces are the force exerted on your body when undergoing high accelerations. Accelerating to the speed of light would have to be done gradually or the body would be torn apart. It would take about 2 ½ months to get to just half the speed of light! This explains the need for inertial dampers—the cosmic shock absorbers created by the writers of Star Trek. Inertial dampers somehow cancel out the force responding to the accelerating force. While this solves the problem for script writers, there is no such tool in the real world of physics.

Which takes us to the problem of time in space travel. Theoretically, two things happen when objects travel at the speed of light. First, time becomes relative and “slows down” for the objects in motion. A ten year journey on a star craft would correspond to 25,000 earth years—making any communication impossible. In addition to this, objects get heavier the faster they travel. When approaching the speed of light they become infinitely heavy, which is why only massless objects, like waves, can travel at such speeds.

Hence, space travel at light speed or faster is probably not feasible; however, space travel could still become reality. Imagine you are a microscopic mite on a flat piece of paper. Your world would seem to be flat; and indeed, all experimentation on your immediate environment would lead you to that conclusion. If your world was flat, the fastest way to get from your position to a point at the other end of the page would be a straight line. However, if the page was to bend, and you could drill a hole through the page, you would find a shortcut. This is the idea behind wormholes. Unfortunately, geometric equations show wormholes to be impossibly unstable. Before they could be used as viable bridges to new star systems or galaxies, one would have to find a way to keep them from pinching off the moment a speck of matter entered its throat. Still, wormholes are our greatest hope for space travel. While wormholes are still only hypothetical (there is no experimental evidence for them), they are great theoretical fun, and valid solutions of the Einstein equations. It’s no wonder that they are a topic of interest among scientists and writers science fiction alike.

Related posts:

A New Era of Space Travel is on the Horizon

Avatar 2009 Science Fiction Movie

SPACE SCIENCE

MSN (Master of Science in Nursing) Salary Range

Science

By: Tis AmitThe Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is one of the few degrees that offer nurses further specialization in a specific field. As a graduate holding a master degree in nursing you may be well qualified to serve in a leadership role at a health-care facility or as a member of a university faculty. The degree even allows you to advance your career in the nursing field.

Once you complete your MSN program or earn a MSN degree, you may advance your healthcare career and become an administrator or supervisor. Adding to this, you may also work as a clinical nurse specialist (CNS), a nurse midwife, a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA), a nurse practitioner, or a nurse psychotherapist, among others. These days, many MSN graduates act as specialists in areas that include community health, management and geriatrics.

Apart from all this, earning a master’s degree in nursing allows you to focus and widen your opportunities for having bigger responsibilities and even earn more money. In fact, in terms of salary, the nurse who holds a MSN degree enjoys a decent income. Though working as a MSN graduate may have its own share of challenges and responsibilities, but it even offers tremendous rewards along with salary range that can be beyond any evaluation to any other profession.

Although it is easy to generalize what a nurse with a master’s degree may earn, but generally salaries greatly differ when specialties are concerned. Nurse with a master’s degree in ambulatory care can earn an average yearly income of $44,000. Adding to this, a nurse with a degree in nurse management can have the potential to earn an average of $65,000 a year in that field. The highest earning nurse in the health care industry is often the nurse practitioner.

The working location also plays a very major role for a nurse who holds a MSN degree, even when it comes to overtime. Certain medical facilities or centers compensate overtime by paying a high hourly rate, while others pay off the time by increasing time off. If the reimbursement comes as an hourly pay, in that situation the pay rate usually differs from one specialty to another. Nurses may acquire their hourly pay by the number of beds or by the size of the supervised staff.

In next few years the employment opportunities for nurses having master’s degree is expected to grow at an average rate. Tough the opportunities may differ by region of the United States, but with the increase in job opportunities the salary range is expected to boost in next few years in the United States.

Related posts:

Salary Range and Benefits in Educational Administration

Online Nursing Education: How to Choose the Right Online Nursing Degree Program

What Is Natural Health Science?
